Scilla siberica Alba

is a graceful white-flowered form of the familiar Siberian Squill, producing starry, nodding blooms in early spring above narrow, strap-like foliage. Its pure white flowers bring a softer, more understated contrast to the traditional blue forms and combine beautifully with other woodland bulbs and naturalistic planting schemes.

Well suited to sun or light shade, Scilla siberica Alba thrives in humus-rich, well-drained soils that remain cool through spring. Once established it naturalises readily, forming gentle drifts beneath deciduous trees, along borders or through grass where it can be left undisturbed to spread gradually. Compact in habit, typically reaching 10–15 cm in height, it is ideal for the front of borders, containers, or meadow-style plantings where early-season interest is desired.  Hardy and reliable.
