The Wild Primrose remains the most beautiful of all Spring Primulas and perhaps one of just a few spring Primulas to look appropriate in the garden. The double Primulas are too ostentatious to mix well in the spring border and seem more at home swanking in pots and window boxes. The wild primrose with its exquisite delicacy looks perfectly at ease with Pulmonarias, Hellebores, Muscari, Iris reticulata and other spring bulbs. Its pale yellow flowers massed on a bank seem like a reflection of spring’s pale sunshine.
