PELARGONIUM Voodoo. Hartsook Unique. A superb plant, highly prized for outdoor displays. Perfectly formed wine red flowers, large but not blousy, with deep red centres. Neat mid green foliage, good strong structure and habit. Ht 60cm Sp 30cm. April - October.
Developed by Frances Hartsook in the United States by crossing regal and unique forms. The intention was to develop plants robust enough to deal with desert conditions and she succeeded in breeding strong plants that easily withstand wind, rain and summer heat. Much better than any regal form.
Stunning displays of Voodoo could be found in the knot gardens of Helmingham Hall. Suffolk
Introduced in 1960's along with Bolero, Carefree, Hula, Mystery and Polka.
