PELARGONIUM gibbosum Species Pelargonium. A succulent stemmed plant with swelling at the nodes. Stems become woody with age and can be brittle. In cultivation you may wish to support stems but in the wild it scrambles freely. Reflexed flowers, ovate in shape and greeny yellow in colour, sweetly scented in the evening. Soft but hairless glaucous leaves. Very unusual. Often referred to as the 'gouty Pelargonium' due to its swelling nodes.
Polyactium Group. Documented in England in 1712 but as early as 1687 is Holland.
