PELARGONIUM exstipulatum Species Pelargonium. Profuse, small, clear pink flowers. April-Oct. Dainty, small, sticky, silver leaves borne on erect vertical stems. Stems often redden with age. A light spicy scent.Ht. 40cm. Sp. 25cm. An easy plant. Noted by Mike as 'Stunning but alas disdained by my customers' Still loved by those at Woottens today.
Reniformia group, recognisable by the distinct flower and leaf shapes. Species within this group have a higher tolerance to cold if kept dry.
Introduced in the late 1700's. Grown by Countess of Strathmore in 1779.
