IRIS louisiana Black Gamecock Deep purple falls with lighter standards and gold signals. Ht. 80cm. Sp. 30cm. Great for pond edges or bog gardens. Evergreen in mild winters. Best in full sun but can take some shade. Hardy in most of the UK down to -10. Frank Chowning, 1978.
