Historic. Creamy white self with yellow beards and olive veining at the haft. Broad grey leaves. Flowers May-June. Ht. 90cm. Sp. 30cm. Naturally occurring hybrid from Southern France and Italy. Known since 1500. Recorded by Linneaus 1753. AGM. 1994. All bearded Iris require full sun and a well-drained soil. Plant rhizomes just proud of the soil level.
