IRIS Dusky Challenger Self. Scented. The flowers have a unique, strong scent of chocolate. Huge rich purple ruffled flowers. Vigorous. Flowers May-June. Perhaps our favourite modern dark self. Ht. 90cm. Sp. 30cm. Dyke's Medal 1992. Bred by Schreiner 1986. All bearded Iris require full sun and a well-drained soil. Plant rhizomes just proud of the soil level.
