Water Iris

Water loving Iris range in species from our native flag Iris to those from Northern America. Water Iris species include: Iris louisiana, Iris versicolor, Iris x robusta hybrids and our native Iris to the UK, Iris pseudacorus. Depending on your location some water Iris may prefer their feet in the water, others on the river bank or pondside. Most are deciduous and flower across the summer and autumn. Iris pseudacorus is one of just two Iris native to the UK, the other is Iris foetidissima. Click here for growing instructions
