Classic Irises bred before 1960. Elegant in shape and highly fragrant historic bearded Iris are cherished at Woottens. We collect and grow Irises from renowned breeders of the 19^th and 20^th Century including Cedric Morris, John Salter, Olive Murrell and Hans Peter Sass. Historic Irises have tall standards, elongated falls and thin stems. They are often highly scented and come in the true Bearded Iris colour spectrum. Click here for growing instructions

Bearded Irises are lifted and dispatched between July and October only. Orders can be placed any time of year, however we will not dispatch your order until harvest time.
