Diploid Hemerocallis are the original forms, in both species and early hybrids before experimentation began in the 1960’s to evolve Hemerocallis breeding. From a scientific point, Diploid forms have 22 chromosomes, however aesthetically they are longer in the petal, elegant in form with thin stems and elongated buds. Flowers are mainly colours within the natural spectrum – yellows and oranges. These are our favourites at Woottens.
